ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has completed probe into Rs 800 million fraud by a US-based P
akistani doctor.
NAB sources confirmed that they had received complaints from the P
akistani doctors a
gainst Quaid-e-Azam International Hospital and Global Health Services owner Doctor Shaukat Ali B
angash. They added that B
angash took Rs 800 million from P
akistani doctors and promised them that he would make them shareholders or return the money but he neither returned the money nor made them shareholders. Rawalpindi NAB had completed inquiry a
gainst B
angash.
During the inquiry, NAB received a letter from P
akistani Ambassador in the US Jalil Abbas Jilani in which he dem
anded action a
gainst B
angash, sources said.
Now NAB has confirmed that B
angash swindled people, especially P
akistani doctors in the US. NAB has asked the
affected people and doctors to submit their claims within 15 days.
