ISLAMABAD: The federal government has appointed Dr Irshad, the Inland Revenue Officer of BPS-22 as new Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman.
According to a notification, Dr Irshad was pe
rforming duties as acting FBR chairman along with duties of member operations.
It is worth-mentioning that pen-down strike of Inland revenue officers has ended across the country after the appointment of Dr Irshad as FBR chairman.
The employees of FBR held strike as a protest on
granting an additional charge of the slot of Secretary Revenue Division to Tariq Bajwa Secretary Finance.
Dr Irshad was promoted to next g
rade in BPS-22 in August 2016
